Job Description

• Position for an ICU Registered Nurse (RN).
• Diverse patient population; no burns, pediatrics, transplants, or ECMO.

Required Certifications

• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS: Basic Life Support
• CPI: Crisis Prevention Intervention
• NIHSS: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
• TNCC: Trauma Nursing Core Course

Experience Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
• Travelers: No first-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• RTO Limit: 2 requests per contract
• Scrubs: Any color/any brand

Compliance and Documentation

Certifications

• Tech Cert Verification: National
• HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required annually
• Basic Dysrhythmia Exam: Required for all RNs and LPN/LVNs; must score 84% or higher to pass.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable by profession.
• Competency Exam: Required as applicable to profession/specialty.

Health Documents

• Physical Exam: Required within the last 12 months.
• TB Testing: PPD, Q-Gold, or T-SPOT required within 1 year of start.
• Vaccinations:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Flu Vaccine required during flu season or approved exemption.

Background and History Checks

• Drug Screen: Required within 30 days of start.
• Background Check: Must include national criminal check, state searches, county searches, and SSN trace.
• References: 2 professional references required within 3 years of start.
• Work History Verification: Required.
• Education Verification: Required.
