Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours
7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Every other weekend

Assignment Details

Medical floor specializing in palliative care and oncology
Inpatient medical experience required
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
May float within scope to medical assignments and the ED for medical holds
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Oncology experience within the last year
1 year of oncology experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an inpatient setting

Required Skills / Clinical Experience

Chemotherapy administration (staff only)
Blood transfusions
Neutropenic precautions
IV skill and management
Isolation precautions

Additional Notes

Holiday time off must be pre-approved; Christmas time off is not approved
On-call is not required
Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
