• Night shift
• 3x12 hours
• 19:00–7:30
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend

Key Job Details

• Must be available for the first 2 weeks of the assignment for orientation
• Will float to other Med Surg units
• May be assigned to units with medical, orthopedic/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients
• Staffing ratio on nights is 1:5–6; may flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support
• Must be willing to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and techs
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed or approved at this time

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• 1 or more years of Medical Surgical experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of Med/Surg experience

Compliance / Onboarding

• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify
• Proof of name change, if applicable
• Criminal background check within 45 days of start
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam with a passing score of at least 80% within 1 year prior to start
• Specialty competency exam with a passing score of at least 80% within 1 year prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tdap documentation
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 30 days of start
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation
• 10-panel drug test including marijuana/THC within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if starting after 11/1
• One professional reference from a supervisor or manager
• Full 7-year work history with no gaps
