Telemetry

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract.
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• 36 or 48 hour option available.
• Newly remodeled 45-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult patients.
• Travelers will float within the tower for orientation and unit-specific training until the floor opens for patients.
• Travelers are first to float and should expect frequent floating to meet staffing needs.
• Units in float scope may include 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU.
• The unit opens in early December.

Required Qualifications

• BLS.
• 2 years of prior Telemetry experience.
• 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital.
• EPIC charting experience.
• First timers are not accepted, unless the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
• Pending license is accepted; if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out.
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS.
• CPI.
• NIH.

Additional Details

• Drips are required on all floors.
• Weekends: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
• Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• Scrubs are mandatory: Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back.
• Parking is available for a fee.
• 100% nicotine free facility.
