Role

Travel/Contract Registered Nurse in Columbus, Ohio.

Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12 hours
• 19:00 to 7:30
• May be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both if accepting a 12D/N rotating contract

Unit / Setting

• 19 James Med Surg Oncology
• Patients commonly include those receiving chemotherapy, symptom management, and continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic
• Must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• Ohio State license verification required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification required for RNs
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting required using code 3701.881

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology experience
• Previous travel experience

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Accessing ports
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care/management
• PICC line management
• IV start
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of ABGs

• Special equipment includes B450 monitors GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
