Role Overview
- Travel/Contract RN position in Columbus, Ohio.
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
- 36 hours per week.
- Contract length: 16 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience with 2 years of experience.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Telemetry Interpretation.
- Telemetry monitoring.
- Oncology experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel experience.
- ONS Chemo.
Unit / Clinical Details
- Medical Oncology unit with a goal staffing ratio of 1:4, but can be 1:5.
- Weekends vary based on unit needs.
- No set or blocked scheduling.
- Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units.
- Cares for adults and geriatrics.
- Common diagnoses include breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, esophageal cancer, and encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy.
- The unit cares for all solid tumor cancers across the cancer journey, including new diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life care.
- Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.
- Cares for patients with true med surg issues.
