Overview

Travel/Contract role in Roanoke, Virginia
Day shift: 3x12s, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
13-week contract
First-time travelers accepted
Locals accepted, subject to radius rule
Pending license accepted only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state; otherwise an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license is required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Epic

Unit Details

Neuro PCU
Adult patients with neurological conditions
5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
Care includes neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, neuro-specific diagnoses, and medical overflow
Ratio: 1:4–5

Scheduling

Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
One holiday required per 13-week contract
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included with submission

Floating

Traveler will be required to float to units within their clinical skillset

Additional Notes

Driver’s license or state ID required within 48 hours of signing
E-Verify or attestation required
2 clinical references required
Complete application/resume required
