Overview

• Travel/Contract RN hospice assignment in Knoxville, Tennessee.
• 8-week contract.
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:00–15:00.
• 40 hours per week.
• Hospice region with territory covering Knoxville.
• No weekend rotation and no on-call.
• No guaranteed hours.
• Average daily caseload: 58 patients.
• Weekly productivity expectation: 30 points.
• Typical workload is 5–10 patients per day, totaling about 6–8 points.
• May float to a nearby clinic for additional hours if patient census is low.
• Dress code: scrubs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Hospice experience within the last year.
• One year of hospice experience.
• One completed travel assignment.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience working with adult patients.
• Experience in a Home Health or Home Health Hospice setting.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Agency-required liability insurance.
• Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic.
• Experience with Homecare Homebase.
• Experience with OASIS.

Assignment Details

• Provides home visits and attends periodic office meetings.
• Case types may include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up visits, and other adult home health or hospice services.
• Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
• Travel between patient homes is reimbursable.
• Travel to the first patient and from the last patient is not billable.
• Locals are accepted at the same rate.

Compliance / Documentation

• Physical exam within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start and updated annually.
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Drug Testing, Flu documentation, and COVID documentation are required.
• Two references required.
• Work history verification for at least the two most recent employers, or the last 7 years if only one employer exists in that period.
• Personal or auto insurance required for Hospice and Home Health placements.
