Telemetry Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 or 48 hours accepted
- Must be available to work at least every other holiday
- No block schedule
- No local candidates
- No travel partners
Unit Details
- Mixed-acuity stepdown/advanced care unit
- Must float to all stepdown/advanced care units
- Target patient ratio is 1:4, with ratios up to 1:5–6
- Team nursing model may be used
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
- Telemetry experience
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
Scheduling / Assignment Notes
- For the 48-hour contract, overtime is paid after 48 hours
- No more than 7 days of requested time off will be approved
- Traveler will be first to float at the facility’s discretion
- May float to other campuses in the Dayton/Centerville/Englewood area
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday
- Medical exemptions are not accepted
