Neuro ICU RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Washington, District of Columbia
3x12 schedule, 19:00–7:00
Majority of shifts are days, with up to two weeks of the six-week schedule on nights
No call requirements
36 or 48 hours, every other weekend, and holidays as needed
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity or other ICUs / IMC
Flu vaccine required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
Neuro ICU experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Experience with conscious or moderate sedation
Experience with ICP (intracranial pressure) management
Experience with ventilator management

Preferred Qualifications

CCRN
Level 1 trauma
Pulmonary Artery Lines
IV Starts
Phlebotomy

Unit / Clinical Details

3G Neuro ICU
Special equipment includes EVD, Raumedic Bolt, Artic Sun, CVVH, and Lytic catheter
Flo-tracker and PA catheter are used occasionally
