Overview

• Travel/contract role in Phoenix, Arizona
• Day shift: 4x9 hours, 5:30–15:00
• 36 hours per week
• Patient mix is 70% adults and 30% pediatrics
• Ratios: 1:2
• Patient age group: neonates to geriatrics
• Local candidates are accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted, though may be considered if they meet all requirements and have very strong experience
• On-call: 4–6 call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Weekend schedule is varied and discussed during interview
• Block scheduling is not accepted
• Floating: none stated

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Central line care/management
• IV vasopressors
• Care of ventilated patients
• Chest tube management
• Malignant Hyperthermia Protocols
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching hospital experience

Additional Notes

• The role is based in a PACU with pediatric and adult critical care exposure
• The assignment may involve high-acuity pediatric and adult cases, including burn patients
