OT Inpatient Rehab - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Shift: Days, 5x8 hour shifts (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Description

  • Inpatient Occupational Therapist role in a rehabilitation setting
  • Work schedule includes every third Saturday required
  • Holidays required as scheduled
  • No on-call duties
  • Floating within the specialty may be required
  • Dress code: Black bottoms, red or black tops

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland
  • Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Strong spine and neuro experience
  • Comprehensive memory care experience
  • Experience working with multiple diagnoses

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • I-9 attestation and E-Verify compliance required
  • Background check including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit test within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:
    • TB screening (QGOLD, TSPOT, or 2-step PPD) updated annually
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines/boosters
    • Hepatitis B: positive titer or declination (series not accepted)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working with children or specific units)
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID vaccine not required for this location but documentation collected for tracking
  • Two supervisory references within 1 year of start
  • Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start
  • Verification of previous 5 years of work history

Additional Notes

  • Epic Portfolio Training Test Out may be available based on prior Epic experience
  • Various competency exams and certifications may be required as applicable
  • Facility-specific documents such as confidentiality agreements, badge photo, and dress code review must be completed prior to start

This position offers a structured day shift schedule with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation therapy, requiring specialized skills in spine, neuro, and memory care. It is suitable for OTs with at least 2 years of experience and appropriate licensure and certifications.
