OT Inpatient Rehab - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Shift: Days, 5x8 hour shifts (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Inpatient Occupational Therapist role in a rehabilitation setting
- Work schedule includes every third Saturday required
- Holidays required as scheduled
- No on-call duties
- Floating within the specialty may be required
- Dress code: Black bottoms, red or black tops
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong spine and neuro experience
- Comprehensive memory care experience
- Experience working with multiple diagnoses
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required
- I-9 attestation and E-Verify compliance required
- Background check including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test within 1 year of start
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:
- TB screening (QGOLD, TSPOT, or 2-step PPD) updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines/boosters
- Hepatitis B: positive titer or declination (series not accepted)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working with children or specific units)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccine not required for this location but documentation collected for tracking
- Two supervisory references within 1 year of start
- Employment application/resume completed within 30 days of start
- Verification of previous 5 years of work history
Additional Notes
- Epic Portfolio Training Test Out may be available based on prior Epic experience
- Various competency exams and certifications may be required as applicable
- Facility-specific documents such as confidentiality agreements, badge photo, and dress code review must be completed prior to start
This position offers a structured day shift schedule with a focus on inpatient rehabilitation therapy, requiring specialized skills in spine, neuro, and memory care. It is suitable for OTs with at least 2 years of experience and appropriate licensure and certifications.
