Dietitian - Pediatric Dietary Services

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Dietary Services (Pediatric Dietitian)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (may change during interview)
• Hours per week: 40 hours
• Weekend work: As needed
• Block schedule accommodation: Monday to Friday block available
• Start date: ASAP

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric dietitian experience preferred
• Recent experience in specialty required; first-time travelers accepted if recent specialty experience
• Tennessee Dietitian license required (pending license accepted)
• Pediatric experience required
• Valid driver’s license must be included with submission

Certifications & Compliance

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification not required for dietitians
• Must comply with facility-specific background checks including:

  • Statewide, county, federal searches
  • Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
  • Sex offender search
  • Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry (for TN facilities)
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Physical exam: Must attest ability to meet physical demands within 1 year of start
• Immunizations required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for this facility)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed)
  • Varicella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B (3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination)
• TB testing: Negative 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year; chest x-ray if positive
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 30)

• Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport)
• Photo for badge: Recent (within 6 months), shoulders up, forward facing, no hats/headphones, no glasses glare, neutral expression

  • State license verification
  • Certification information
• Background checks and verifications must be current and submitted prior to start
• Facility-specific dress code: No prints or embroidered scrubs; specific scrub colors for different roles; business casual with lab coat for case managers

Additional Notes

• All requested Return to Office (RTO) dates must be included at time of submission; late RTO submissions will not be approved
• Facility is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Fit mask test and certain certifications are not required for dietitians
• Internal evaluations and performance evaluations required for candidates employed with agency for one year or more
