Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association, required prior to start and must be maintained throughout assignment
IV start capability

Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Employment eligibility verification (I9, E-Verify)
Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
Physical exam: Initial and annual attestation of ability to meet physical demands
Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months prior to start; annual TB questionnaire if prior positive
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination required (titer/vaccines preferred)
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination preferred
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept–March)

Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
Performance evaluations required if previously worked over 1 year with the client
Employment application/resume submission required

Facility requires completion of religious or medical exemption forms if flu vaccine is declined
Candidate must carry photo ID during all hours of service
Telemetry techs are separate; this role focuses on nursing duties on MS/Telemetry unit
Some weekend and holiday shifts are mandatory
