- Adults to geriatrics
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS
- Experience with Epic
Unit / Clinical Setting
- Medical Surgical ICU
Key Clinical Experience
- Sepsis / severe sepsis / septic shock
- Respiratory failure / pulmonary diseases
- Post-cardiac arrest care
- GI bleed / hemorrhagic shock
- DKA
- Acute kidney disease
- Complicated surgery cases
- Pulmonary edema
- Pulmonary embolus
- Drug overdose, intentional and accidental
- Hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia
- Hypertensive emergencies
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Rhabdomyolysis
- Metabolic encephalopathy
- Malignant neoplasms
Procedures / Skills
- CRRT
- Targeted temperature management
- Chest tubes
- Bronchoscopies
- Lumbar punctures
- Incision and drainage
- Central line insertion assistance
- Central line and arterial line maintenance
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Continuous bladder irrigations
- Continuous IV infusions, including pressors, paralytics, sedatives, and cardiac drips
Work Setting Details
- Patient ratio: 1:2-3
- 15 beds, 13 rooms
- Average daily census: 12
- Epic required
- Pyxis
- SBAR
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- No call
Time Off / Holiday Expectations
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off
- Spring Break blackout dates: April 4-12
- If the assignment includes major holidays, the traveler is expected to work the applicable holiday coverage as outlined in the posting
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted
- Navy blue scrubs
- Full compliance is required to start on time
