Medical Lab Technician - Travel/Contract

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (3 shifts/week, 12 hours each)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Work unit: Laboratory
• Must have experience with Abbott Architect analyzers and Wellsky blood bank program (indicate when/where this experience was gained).
• Clinician may float within the lab scope to meet facility needs.
• Local candidates accepted.
• No first-time travelers accepted.
• No pending licenses accepted.
• No holiday requests off (RTO) allowed; maximum 5 total days off during the 13-week assignment, with no additional time off after submission or while on contract.
• Facility uses EPIC for charting; EPIC experience preferred and will be reviewed case by case.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Lab Technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment.
• Experience with Abbott Architect analyzers.
• Experience with Wellsky blood bank program.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

• Parking: Free
• Attendance policy: Zero-fault attendance policy; any missed shift counts as unexcused. Two missed shifts result in a warning; three missed shifts may result in cancellation. Applies on a rolling calendar year.

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

• Must commit to reporting to the lab within 48-72 hours of signing the contract.
• Complete required facility-specific modules before start date (including Microsoft Authentication, Oracle Training, NIH Apex modules if applicable).
• Provide a badge photo meeting specific criteria (plain white background, clear front-facing, no filters).
• Sign facility-required documents prior to start: job description acknowledgment, confidentiality agreement, code of conduct acknowledgment, marketing consent form.
• Submit 2 professional references prior to start.
• Provide annual skills checklist and performance evaluation or equivalent references if applicable.
• Work history verification for the last 3 years required; attestations acceptable and can be pending at start.

Additional Notes

• Floating within the lab is limited to the lab scope only.
• EPIC experience is preferred but not mandatory; will be reviewed individually.
• No additional time off allowed after contract acceptance.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment.
