Interventional Radiology Technologist - Travel/Contract

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Overview

  • Support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units.
  • Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemoembolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, PE/DVTs.
  • Work in a Trauma 1 and Stroke Center environment.
  • Perform outpatient and inpatient procedures for adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics across all patient acuities.
  • Utilize fluoro (Siemens) and ultrasound (Phillips) equipment.
  • Work in a department with 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, and a dedicated ultrasound room.
  • Use McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart systems.
  • Call schedule includes 1 weekend per month and 1-2 call days per week, with 2 techs on call each shift (primary and secondary).
  • No local technologists within 50 miles.
  • Position requires physical activity including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
  • Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine.
  • Facility operates 24/7, requiring rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts, take call, work weekends, and cover at least 50% of holidays during the contract.

Required Qualifications

  • Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology within the last year.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or Associate's Degree in a health science area or equivalent credit hours, or Bachelor's Degree.

Work Schedule

  • Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week).
  • Call: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 call days per week.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Active role requiring ambulation and lifting/moving objects over 20 lbs.
  • Exposure to contagious illnesses.
  • Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather coverage.

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not required.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Must be able to work the full term of the contract at the assigned location.
  • Two technologists are on call each shift (primary and backup).
