Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Correctional Setting

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (minimum for new contracts and extensions)
Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each; 18:00 to 6:30)
Hours per Week: 48 hours (36 guaranteed hours/week; facility may call off up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment)
Schedule: Weekend shifts required every other weekend
Block Scheduling: Accommodation possible but not guaranteed
Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius

Job Description

Work primarily in the Addictions Medicine department within a correctional detention center.
Responsibilities include administering Suboxone, detox medications, Suboxone inductions, and Methadone medication passes.
Provide assessments and treatment for patients undergoing substance withdrawal and monitor patients during induction processes.
Expected to learn all posts in the correctional setting.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 1 year of wound care experience within the last year.
Correctional nursing experience.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) certification.

Travel experience is not explicitly required.
