Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Oncology Floor)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Assignment on an Oncology MedSurg floor
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours preferred (19:00–7:00), 4x12 considered
• Patient ratio: 1:6 or 1:7; experience with higher ratios required
• Block scheduling considered
• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of recent MedSurg and Telemetry experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (9/3–3/31) unless approved medical/religious exemption
• Fit test completed onsite at no cost

Background & Documentation Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification (diploma or transcript accepted)
• NURSYS primary source verification for RN license
• Two recent supervisor/manager references verified within 12 months
• Employment application/resume
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing
• Facility-specific health and safety training modules must be completed prior to start
• Photo for badge: passport-style, shoulders up, no selfies, jpeg format, submitted within 24 hours of signing
• Various facility-specific forms requiring wet or DocuSign signatures, including IS115 and IS119 forms
• Business Associate Agreement may be required if requested

Additional Notes

• Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Local candidates within 30 miles of facility will not be considered; local defined as 31–50 miles
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• Fingerprinting requirements apply only to CNAs, not RNs for this role

This position offers a 13-week travel contract on a night shift with a focus on oncology med-surg nursing, requiring solid MedSurg experience, telemetry skills, and BLS certification.
