Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Columbus, Ohio
Job Summary
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Floating required to multiple units including NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical as needed
- Must comply with facility float expectations and be willing to work in various units
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of Pediatrics CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in Charge roles
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start (7-year search including all counties lived/worked)
- Education verification through National Student Clearinghouse or equivalent
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting required within 60 days of start (must be updated for each new contract)
- Sex offender search and state-specific registry checks required within 30 days of start
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 60 days prior to start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within last year; additional TB questionnaire required
- Physical exam or signed infection control policy required prior to start
- N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Required immunizations and health documents:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 31 - May 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination as required

- Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually
- Floating assignments may include NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units
- Must be willing to comply with all facility policies and documentation requirements prior to and during assignment
This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with pediatric critical care and flexible floating assignments across multiple units.
