Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Wednesday through Saturday shifts
- One night weekday call and weekend call every 6 weeks
- Rotating shifts, holidays, and work during inclement weather required
- Must be able to work assigned weekends and at least 50% of holidays during the contract
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
- Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
- Prior travel experience required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
Physical Demands
- Active role requiring ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
- Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
- Ability to work full shifts and take call
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Interventional Radiology nursing experience of at least 2 years, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
- Additional background screenings including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions
- International background check if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
- Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or Caregiver Background Screening required and must be on file before start
- Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required)
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or approved exemptions for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (updated annually)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR vaccines or positive titers)
- Hepatitis B series or positive/reactive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
- Varicella (chickenpox) immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Documentation and Onboarding
- Proof of identity (Photo ID) and employment eligibility (I-9, E-Verify) required
- Photo for badge (new candidates only)
- Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality agreements and TB surveys
- Resume with at least 7 years of employment history, no gaps over 30 days, and education details
- Two professional references within the last 2 years
Additional Notes
- This position requires the ability to work at the assigned location for the full contract term
- Must be able to work the substantial time of assigned shifts and take call as scheduled
- Compliance with all facility policies and procedures is mandatory
