Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Mammography Tech
Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 08:00 to 18:30
Daily caseload: Variable
Weekend and on-call shifts: Not required
Floating: Not required
First-time travelers accepted
Locals accepted

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist within the last year
Experience in outpatient settings
Proficient with PACS
Mammography Technologist skills including screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3-D imaging

Required Licenses & Certifications

Valid Mammography Technologist license in Virginia (must have license in hand; pending or temporary licenses are not accepted)
ARRT certification and ARRT Advanced certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Additional Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
Background check including lifetime criminal history and education verification
Drug testing within 30 days prior to start
Immunizations and health documents as required (e.g., TB test or chest X-ray, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination or approved exemption)
Fit mask (N95) certification required and must be updated annually
Completion of facility-specific orientation and competency exams
References: 2 required, including one from current year and one within last 2 years, from supervisors or equivalent

Facility & Work Environment

Outpatient imaging setting
Charting system: Epic
No on-call or weekend requirements
No floating to sister facilities or block scheduling

Notes

Must be able to work the specified shift days and times
Facility does not accept temporary or pending licenses for this role
