Job Description

• Must have 2 years of Registered Nurse experience (minimum) with cardiothoracic experience required.
• Work hours typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Call schedule includes:

  • Weekday call 1-2 times per week (stay until cases finish, then on-call from home if living within 30-40 minutes).
  • Weekend call 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule (from Friday 3 PM to Monday 7 AM, mostly on-call from home; rare call-ins).
• The heart team averages about 2 cases per day.
• Team consists of 3 RNs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year.
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NIHSS certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

• Must be available for weekday and weekend call as scheduled.
• Facility requires completion of various compliance documents and training prior to start.
• References: 2 professional references for travel/allied/per diem acute care roles within 3 years of start.

Summary
