Job Description

• Work on a busy cardiac/pulmonary telemetry unit (PCU).
• May float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units or low acuity ICU.
• PCU experience is required.
• Epic experience within the last 12 months is required and must be detailed on the profile.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current experience with Epic within the last 12 months.
• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service.
• Physical exam within one year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year; annual TB questionnaire required.
• N95 Fit Mask test within one year; no PAPR allowed.
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Complete employment application/resume.
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty.
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start.
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31); no declinations or exemptions accepted.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must pass an Epic test-out; only one attempt allowed.
• Float assignments may include other telemetry or low acuity ICU units.
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
