Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Memphis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery.
• Must be willing to float to Med/Surg unit when there are no OB patients.
• Orientation to Med/Surg will be provided; prior Med/Surg experience is not required.
• Expected to work at least half the time on Med/Surg.
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM).
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in Postpartum care.
• Experience in Med/Surg nursing.
• Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Must provide proof of work eligibility in the U.S.
• Background checks including 7-year work/living history, sex offender search, and state-specific checks.
• Health clearances including physical exam, negative TB test or chest x-ray, and required immunizations/vaccinations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu, COVID-19).
• Drug screening within 30 days of start.
• Competency exam in specialty area, updated annually.
• Two professional references, one within the last 12 months.
• Verification of 2 years of relevant work experience within the last 3 years.
• Employment application and skills checklist required.
