Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract
Location: San Diego, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details

- Weekend Requirement: Must be available to work weekends with full flexibility (no specific weekend schedule guaranteed)
- On-Call: Yes, required as needed (1-2 shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per month)
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: No
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Maximum 6 days RTO
- Guaranteed Hours: Hours guaranteed after call-off policy is met
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Pediatric experience preferred but not required)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
- Licensure & Certifications Required:
- Fluoroscopy permit (can submit application prior to start if permit will be obtained before starting)
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT R)
- ARRT Advanced Certification
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Must have valid photo ID (front and back) available on first day
- Background checks including criminal, education verification, and federal exclusions must be current (within 30 days of start)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, DO, NP, PA, or APRN, confirming good health without restrictions
- Fit test for N95 masks within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap (within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 6 months)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Series or titer required; can start series pending if 3rd dose within 30 days of start
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
- Negative 9-panel drug test (non-THC) within 30 days of start
- Medication calculation test required for all RNs prior to start (100% passing score, two attempts allowed)
- Pediatric pharmacology competency exam required (80% minimum score)
- Competency exams and core training (Parts I, II, III) must be current and uploaded with 1-year expiration
- References: Two supervisory references verified within 1 year of start from clinical leadership (director, supervisor, or manager; charge RNs not acceptable)

Summary
This is a travel contract opportunity for a Radiology/Cardiology professional with at least 1 year of experience, preferably with pediatric exposure. The role requires multiple certifications including fluoroscopy permit and ARRT credentials, as well as ACLS and BLS. The position demands weekend and on-call availability with a 4x10 day shift schedule. First-time travelers are welcome.
