Job Opportunity: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Stockton, CA

Position Details

Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Location: Stockton, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (preferred range: 13–26 weeks)
Shift Schedule:
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
- May include occasional weekend coverage as needed
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP (flexible for later start dates)

Requirements

Licensure: Active California COTA license required
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred
- New graduates will be considered
Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Competencies

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current, clear copy required)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
National Tech Certification as applicable
State License verification (primary source online verification)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
Competency Exam (as applicable)

Health & Background Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start (with specific guidelines for past positives)
Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Background checks including 7-year search, sex offender registry, and annual federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)

Additional Requirements

Emergency Contact Form required prior to start
2 Professional References required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years of start)
Annual Skills Checklist required
