Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Chemo) - Travel/Contract
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday - Friday, 5x8s (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Call/Weekend Requirements: None
Return to Office (RTO): Up to 5 days max, no more than 2 consecutive; no RTO on holidays, weekends, or day before/after holidays
Floating: Mandatory float within scope to meet facility needs
Required Experience & Certifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years
- Specialty Experience: Infusion center, inpatient oncology, outpatient oncology experience required
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ONS/ONCC (Oncology Nursing Society/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation)
- Chemotherapy certification required for oncology
Licensure & Location Requirements
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility (locals only)
- Pending licenses are NOT accepted
Facility & Work Environment
- Charting system: Cerner
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Limited parking available; public transit highly recommended
- Mandatory floating to other units as needed
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months, updated annually
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year, updated annually
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination (within 12 months)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months, updated annually
- Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer), Hepatitis B (series, titer, or declination), Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required within 12 months of start)
- Color Blind Testing (required within 12 months of start)
- General Competency Exam (required within 12 months of start)

- Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position

- Floating is mandatory to meet facility needs within scope of practice
