Certification Requirements

• HSPA/CRCST/CBSPF (required)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for all ER RN positions; confirm if applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for all RN positions
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification) may be required depending on unit

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Surgical Services or comparable/higher acuity specialty
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Driver’s license or state ID with clear picture and current address
• 7-year background check including multiple federal and state databases, completed within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
• State license verification required within 30 days of start (no license hits accepted)
• Physical exam using facility-specific form completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Fit mask test (N95 3M 1860 or Halyard Fluidshield) within 12 months, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (antibody and antigen results required)
• Standard 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination required (declinations allowed for medical/religious reasons)
• COVID vaccination preferred (initial series)
• Two clinical references required (supervisor level or above)
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Minimum score 80%
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Minimum score 80% (may be required depending on unit)

• No weekend or call requirements unless requested by the traveler
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
