Job Summary

Required Qualifications

  • Active, permanent Virginia RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum ICU nursing experience (years not explicitly stated, but ICU experience required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
  • Drug screening within 60 days of start (9-panel minimum, instant screens not accepted)
  • Completion of orientation modules and facility-specific exams (pharmacology, point of care testing, mask fitting, BKAT for ICU/tele/step-down units)
  • Two professional references required
  • Complete application/resume required

  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
  • Proof of primary residence must match compact licensure documentation
  • Virginia Central Registry (CPS) search and submission required within 48 hours of contract signing; candidates may start with results pending if proof of submission is on file

  • Candidates must bring mask (cloth acceptable), non-wireless headphones, and laptop or cell phone to orientation (notify if no device available)
