Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Every weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) plus one weekday
• 36-hour day shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Charting experience with Epic required

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts (MA RN license)
• Minimum 18 months of Emergency Room (ER) experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• Medication Exam and Telemetry Exam (if applicable) must be passed with minimum 80% on first day of orientation
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Prior Travel Experience

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid government-issued ID
• MA Statewide iCORI Release (updated annually)
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
• Education verification (highest completed education)
• State license verification (NURSYS verification within 30 days prior to start)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Drug testing within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or valid declinations for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
• TB testing: Two PPDs or equivalent testing; if positive, chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required
• References: Two references within three years of start
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred for ER
• CHEMO certification preferred for Oncology (not required for this ER role)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be comfortable working every weekend
• Compliance with all facility-specific health and background requirements is mandatory
