Travel/Contract NICU Registered Nurse

Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 7pm - 7am
• Schedule: Every weekend required plus 1 weekday
• Floating: Required to float within 5 hospitals based on needs (within skillset)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years NICU experience
  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Must have experience with micro preemies and high frequency ventilation
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted but not preferred (prior travel experience not explicitly required)
• On Call: None
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic experience preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
• Other certifications as applicable (e.g., PALS if applicable)

Required Licenses

• Valid New Jersey RN license

Additional Requirements

• Must agree to every weekend schedule
• RTO (Return to Office) documents required at time of submission; no late submissions accepted
• Block scheduling is not allowed
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening
• Must complete facility-specific orientation and competency exams, including medication and dysrhythmia testing as applicable
• Physical exam within last 12 months required
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (cannot work first shift without it)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year required
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better) required
• Required to complete various questionnaires including TB and latex
• Two professional references within last 2 years required
• Work history verification required for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start date)

Notes

• This is a weekend-heavy position; candidates unwilling to work every weekend should not apply
• Floating among multiple hospitals requires flexibility and adaptability
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not mandatory
• First-time travelers are accepted but preference given to those with prior travel experience

This position is ideal for NICU RNs with Level III experience who are comfortable working weekends and floating across multiple hospital locations within New Jersey.
