Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Pediatrics (Travel/Contract)

Job Description
- Work primarily in outpatient pediatric setting, required 2-3 days per week with remaining days covering other age groups.
- No weekends, no call, no float required.
- Shift: Day shift, 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM (Pediatric schedule on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week full-time or 24 hours per week part-time (3 days).
- Experience working in outpatient pediatric setting required.
- Other age groups coverage needed if working full-time.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing in the State of Michigan.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in specialty (pediatric outpatient therapy).
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP or American Medical Learning Center.
- Other certifications as applicable (e.g., TNCC, EFM, CPI) depending on unit.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency must be current (within 1 year).

- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap proof of prior vaccine.
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required.
- Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or facility declination required.
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for candidates starting after November 1.
- Drug testing: 10-panel including Marijuana/THC within 30 days of start.
- Background checks:
- Criminal background check within 45 days of start, including lifetime search.
- State-specific searches including Michigan Central Registry Clearance (required for all pediatric placements).
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
- Fingerprinting:
- MI LARA fingerprinting required within 45 days of start.
- Documentation:
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps.
- One professional reference from a supervisor or manager.
- Skills checklist updated annually.
- Facility-specific requirements:
- Review and sign Code of Conduct and Appearance Standards Policy.
- Fit test may be required depending on work location and role.
- Vaccine exemption forms if applicable.
