Schedule

5:00 PM to 1:30 AM
Monday through Friday
8-hour evening shift

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Medical Lab Technician experience
2 years of Medical Lab Technician experience
Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
ASCP (HT)
Completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
Histology Technologist experience

Job Responsibilities

Receive specimens from surgery
Accession specimens into Cerner
Collect blocks from pathology assistant staff
Process tissue
Embed tissue
Cut tissue
Stain slides

Holiday Requirement

Must work 2 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day
Must also work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve
