Overview

• 13-week contract
• Renton, Washington
• Night shift; variable scheduling, with most shifts on nights
• 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday work required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• PALS
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic

Unit Details

• 4-zone ED
• 55 beds total plus 8-12 swing beds
• 4 trauma bays
• Fast track is available as AC (accelerated care)
• Separate triage area in the lobby
• Separate psych/seclusion rooms
• In-house security
• 250 patients per day
• Ratios: 4:1 main ED, 5:1 accelerated care, 2:1 critical care

Responsibilities

• RN manages holds
• RN may be asked to transport critical patients
• RN draws ABGs
• RN sets up small-dose breathing treatments
• RN and MST perform ECGs
• RN and MST draw labs
• RN reads strips with MST

• Comfortable providing culturally competent care to a highly diverse patient population
• Alignment with the mission to care for the community like family

Additional Notes

• Travelers may do triage only after additional triage orientation and competency testing
• No call or standby requirement
• No floating requirement
