Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Varied shift times, mostly 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with some 11:00 AM–11:00 PM and 3:00 PM–3:00 AM shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN role
• 2 years minimum experience
• Triage and emergency room experience
• Charge experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Responsibilities

• Work charge shifts
• Titrate drips and manage set-rate cardiac drips
• Interpret telemetry strips
• Perform blood draws
• Float within the emergency department, except to the overflow unit

Unit Details

• 18 beds, including 4 trauma bays
• 2 fast track rooms
• Triage area available
• 1 room designated for psych patients
• 67 patients per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 4:1 in half the department and 5:1 in the other half

Additional Information

• Candidates who worked in a permanent capacity at the facility within the last 6 months are not eligible
• Travelers are not expected to take call
• Travelers may be expected to work holidays depending on department need
• Weekend rotation is every 3rd weekend
• One 12-hour orientation shift
