Respiratory Therapist

Location

Martinsburg, West Virginia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour night shifts
Every other weekend
Every other holiday
No call

Required Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
NRP certification
Must be able to intubate independently for adults
Prior level II-III NICU experience, including ventilators
Pediatric floor care experience
Adult experience
CRT may be accepted if the license was held prior to July 1, 2022

Responsibilities

Assess patients and plan treatments based on physician orders
Set up equipment and administer respiratory treatments
Provide airway management, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, and chest physiotherapy
Perform ABGs
May perform EKGs during off-hours and weekends, excluding the ER

Pediatrics
Neonates

Additional Notes

No PFTs required
Previous NICU experience is preferred for floating
Uses EPIC
