Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an Occupational Therapist for inpatient care in a busy department treating approximately 120-150 patients per day. The role involves working with adult and pediatric patients across various acute inpatient and rehab settings, including ICUs, trauma centers, stroke programs, oncology, ortho, neuro, and general medical-surgical units.

Work Environment & Patient Population

• Same day discharge joint program
• Trauma, neuro, ortho, general med-surg, oncology
• Pediatric inpatient rehab program
• Adult inpatient rehab program and stroke specialty program

Typical Caseload & Duties

• Approximately 9 evaluations and 16 treatments per day per therapist
• ADL evaluation and documentation to justify next level of care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Flexibility and strong teamwork skills essential

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Day shift, variable schedule (self-scheduling not allowed)
• Weekend and holiday work required (comp days scheduled for weekends)
• 8-hour shifts
• Dress code: Any solid color, clean and professional
• Must clock in and out at the facility

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with Wisconsin state license completed before start
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Must complete client credentialing process before start (can take up to 2 months total)
• If previously worked at this facility, must have a minimum 6-month gap since last employment

Additional Notes

• OT professionals have privileges within the facility and must complete onboarding by the 2nd Monday of the month to avoid delayed start dates
• Department orientation varies based on skill level
• Rehab aides and COTAs support the department
