Required Qualifications

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS
• Gen Med experience
• Strong teamwork and communication
• Negative drug screen for all panels

Submission Requirements

• Last four digits of SSN
• Clinician’s middle initial
• Requested time off

Assignment Details

• 20-bed general medical unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4/5 on day shift; 1:5/6 on night shift
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• 3 of 6 holidays required
• Charge nurse is present 24 hours per day
• PCTs are on the unit 24 hours per day
• No vents
• Some patients are on telemetry; bedside RNs do not read strips
• Floating: travel RNs are first to float, otherwise float is on a rotation of last who floated
• Call or standby depends on staffing needs
• Unit-specific orientation: 3
• No color preference for scrubs

Additional Notes

• Local placements are accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Local clinicians receive a reduced rate
• Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• OSF call-off policy: equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift
