Sub Acute RN

Location: Glendale, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
Unit: Sub-Acute RN, 30 beds
Ratios: 1:7 RN ratio; 1:10 nurse aide ratio
Common Diagnoses: Brain injury

Required Qualifications

Active BLS (AHA)
Active California license
2 full years of experience as a Sub-Acute nurse
Sub-acute or acute hospital experience
At least 6 months of nursing experience caring for acute respiratory failure patients

Schedule and Responsibilities

Every other weekend (EOW) and 1 major holiday
Self-scheduling and block scheduling are not allowed
No call or standby requirement
Charge nurse takes an assignment as needed
Not required to titrate drips; no common titratable or set-rate drips
No respiratory therapy equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPap) on this unit
First to float

Unit and department-specific orientation
