Employment Type: Community Care - Nursing
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals
Provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret/record measurements
Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse medication reactions promptly
Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols

Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting (most recent experience within the past year)
Physical assessment
Medication administration
Wound care & infection control
IV therapy
Post-operative care
Patient education
Telemetry monitoring
Two (2) years of previous acute care experience in MedSurg, Maternal and Child Care, Critical Care, or Pediatrics
Current Adult Care home health experience
