Job Opportunity: Clinical Dietician (Travel)

Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract


Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient nutritional care plans.
  • Provide age-appropriate assessments for patients at nutrition risk, including diabetes management and education, following established guidelines.
  • Adapt nutrition plans to meet specific economic, social, cultural, and age-appropriate patient needs.
  • Reassess patients at appropriate intervals and adjust plans of care as needed.
  • Provide age-appropriate education to support nutritional care plans.
  • Assess learning needs and readiness to learn for patients and families.
  • Participate in the development and review of educational materials and department resources tailored to the populations served.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, and pediatrics.
  • Ability to identify nutritional deficiencies, make assessments and recommendations, and educate others on nutritional needs.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and nutrition software programs.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Registered Dietitian (RD) - Commission on Dietetic Registration (Required)
    • Licensed Dietitian (LD) - Texas Department of Licensing (Required)
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Clinical Dietician (based on specialty requirement).
  • No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.
