Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Modified Care Unit, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of primarily adult inpatients. The role requires competency in delivering care to patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Cardiac Telemetry Care experience
• Experience working with a diverse patient population including:

  • Myocardial Infarction (MI)
  • Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Strokes
  • Stable arrhythmias
• Professional nursing knowledge typically acquired through at least 2 years of nursing education at an accredited School of Nursing (minimum requirement for RN licensure)

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Certifications & Licensure

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) participating state
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or equivalent
