Job Description

• Implement treatment plans and select modalities to meet specific established goals.
• Provide prescribed speech therapy treatment to facilitate rehabilitation of mentally or physically handicapped patients.
• Assist in evaluating patient progress and recommend discharge planning.
• Conduct and assist with patient activities and maintain appropriate records.
• Perform evaluations and establish treatment plans based on age-specific, cultural, and rehabilitative needs in compliance with hospital licensing, accreditation standards, and the Speech Therapy Practice Act.
• Provide effective therapy treatments and delegate patient treatment procedures appropriately.
• Ensure safe and comprehensive discharge planning.
• Maintain individual productivity to meet department standards.
• Deliver thorough, timely, professional, and consistent patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of pediatric speech therapy experience (hospital experience preferred).
• Basic speech therapy skills and ability to administer all department modalities, programs, and protocols appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (89 days rounded to nearest week).
