Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Jackson, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7pm - 7am, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
Weekend and holiday availability required
Hours per week: 36

Job Summary

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care in the ICU.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
• Communicate pertinent patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team.
• Participate in identifying and resolving variances from patient goals to ensure quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a trauma level 2 facility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to develop effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Additional Information

• Overtime is billed after 48 hours.
