Medical Technologist - Lab Technologist

Location: Detroit, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Afternoon (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)


Job Summary

Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens using manual techniques and laboratory instruments under general supervision.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, including experience within the last year.
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory sciences, clinical laboratory sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment, including AU system experience.

Additional Information

  • Interview format: MS Teams or in-person if local.
  • Preferred certification at the technologist level from nationally recognized agencies (ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW) is a plus but not mandatory.
