Job Summary

• Perform computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures under general supervision.
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.
• Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
• Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
• Operate and manually control CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients and procedure rooms, including sterile equipment and supplies.
• Ensure radiation protection principles are followed (shielding, dose reduction, ALARA techniques).
• Manage imaging workflow including PACS image quality and RIS study indexing.
• Document all procedures in medical records and radiology information systems.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork standards consistently.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Additional shift option: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Midnights) with every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in CT procedures
• Certifications: BLS and CT certification
• Procedure experience preferred
• Must meet core customer service standards including communication, teamwork, respect, and motivation
• Ability to work independently, be flexible, and committed to team concepts
• Respect for diversity and willingness to learn

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Work may be in hospital fixed units or ambulatory mobile units
• Potential exposure to radiation and high-voltage equipment; proper precautions required
• Possible exposure to contagious patients
• Occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
