Location: Flushing, New York

Contract Length: 7 weeks

Unit & Shift Details

• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (Progressive Care Unit - PCU)
• Shift: 11:30 AM - 7:15 PM
• Hours per week: 34.5
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within acuity

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license for New York State (must have license in hand)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (PCU/Progressive Care/Stepdown) within the last 3 years
• Minimum 2 years of vent management and telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience on Med-Surg, Progressive Care, and/or Stepdown unit in a hospital setting
• Level 1 Trauma Experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• EMR experience
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (no declinations)
• Skills checklist matching required skill set
• Willingness to float to units appropriate for skillset
• Travel experience OR local NYC experience required (prior travel experience explicitly mentioned as acceptable)

Additional Information

• Dress code: Navy bottom + white top or all white (shoes color depends on scrubs)
• Flu/COVID vaccination mandatory with no declinations allowed

This position is suitable for experienced PCU RNs with strong vent management and telemetry skills, comfortable working in a cardiac stepdown environment, and able to float within acuity areas. Prior travel experience is acceptable but not strictly required if local NYC experience is demonstrated.
