Job Opportunity: ER I Nurse – New York, NY

Position Details

• Specialty: ER I (Emergency Room)
• Location: New York, NY
• Employment Type: Long Term
• Contract Length: 6 weeks
• Unit: Adult ER
• Shift Times: 11.5-hour day shifts (7:30 AM – 8:00 PM)
• Schedule: Rotating 3-4-3-4 schedule, approximately 40.25 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Yes, to areas within acuity
• Dress Code: Navy bottom with white top and dark shoes, or all white with white shoes
• Vaccination Requirements: Flu and COVID vaccination required, no declinations allowed

Position Requirements

• Education: BSN required
• Licensure: New York State RN License in hand
• Certifications: AHA BLS required
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of ER specialty experience within the last 3 years
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Experience in a large academic (teaching) hospital setting required
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience required
• References: 2 references from most recent assignment within skill set
• Additional Skills:

  • Willingness to float to units appropriate for skill set
  • EMR experience required
  • Skills checklist matching required skill set
• Compliance: COVID vaccinated prior to start date

This role is ideal for experienced ER nurses with trauma and academic hospital experience who have prior travel assignments and are comfortable with rotating shifts and floating within acuity areas.
