Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel

Contract Details

Length: 6 weeks
Start Date: 5/25/26
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday
Float Requirements: None
On Call/Call Back: May be placed on call during low census; minimum 2-hour call back pay

Unit Information

11-bed Labor & Delivery unit
8-bed Postpartum unit
Approximately 1350 deliveries annually
Average monthly delivery rate: 112
Patient census is highly variable

Required Qualifications

License: Wisconsin RN license
Certifications: AHA BLS, Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Obstetrics with Labor & Delivery experience (highest required years of experience)
Skills: Competent in Labor and Delivery nursing
Charting: Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Additional Information

Travelers must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Scrub colors: any color allowed
During flu season, travelers declining flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy
Low census hours (up to 36 hours) are unbillable but call back pay applies if called in during these hours
Orientation week hours are not guaranteed; otherwise, set hours per week are guaranteed except when the unit is closed for holidays
